For enterprise customers who act as “data controllers” under GDPR, Camile acts as a “data processor.”
We provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that outlines:
- Subject Matter & Duration: Processing limited to providing the Service for the duration of the contract.
- Nature & Purpose: Connectivity management, monitoring, and reporting of IoT devices.
- Types of Personal Data: Account identifiers and device-related metadata.
- Data Subject Categories: Customer personnel (e.g., administrators) and device end-users if applicable.
- Sub-Processors: Vetted third-party providers (e.g., cloud hosting, billing). Customers are notified of sub-processors in advance.
- Security Measures: Encryption, access control, secure hosting, monitoring, and incident response.
- Data Subject Requests: Camile assists customers in fulfilling GDPR and PIPEDA data subject rights requests.
- Cross-Border Transfers: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards for international data transfers.
